  • Days 1-2: Hong Kong Island & Kowloon | Full-day City Highlights Tour

    Upon arrival in Hong Kong, enjoy some free time in one of the world’s most dynamic and captivating cities. On day two, our full-day highlight tour starts with traversing the Cross-Harbour Tunnel. One of the world’s greatest deep-water harbours, Victoria Harbour has greatly contributed to Hong Kong’s status as a world-class metropolis. Head to Victoria Peak, at 554m (1817ft)-high, the island’s highest point and legendary landmark. Climb aboard the Peak Tram, one of the world’s oldest funicular railways, which has made this gravity-defying ascent since 1888. At the Peak summit, enjoy spectacular 360-degree views across the city. Continue south to Aberdeen, a traditional fishing village and bustling harbour, renowned for its photogenic fishing junks and floating restaurants. Explore the quaint seaside village of Stanley and its charming market. Our day concludes at Kowloon’s stunning Wong Tai Sin Temple, where Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism are jointly worshipped.

  • Day 3: Hong Kong | Learn How to Create Authentic Chinese Recipes

    Chinese cuisine is universally beloved worldwide and is a key element in Chinese culture. Each of China’s major culinary regions yield distinctive flavours and cooking styles, reflecting their diversity. During this three-hour, hands-on cooking class, discover some of the secrets of Chinese home-cooking. Our knowledgeable chef will guide us through the complexities of Chinese recipes, culinary techniques and essential ingredients. You will be shown how to create authentic dishes, from fiery Sichuan to subtle Cantonese flavours. Select an appetiser, main course and dessert from the recipe menu, then try your hand at preparing aromatic soups, dumplings and wok stir-fries. Afterwards, sample your delicious creations at a sit-down meal.

  • Day 4: Hong Kong – Chiang Mai | Tastes of a Foodie Paradise

    We arrive in Chiang Mai, the former seat of the ancient Lanna Kingdom and hub of Northern Thailand. Surrounded by mountains, rainforest and tranquil countryside, this dynamic city has succeeded in fusing its rich history and traditions with an increasingly modern side. Chiang Mai has also garnered a well-deserved reputation as a foodie paradise. This “Rose of the North” is especially acclaimed for its authentic northern Thai and Lanna cuisine, which remains true to its traditional roots and intensity of flavours. Northern Thai cuisine shares similarities with neighbouring Burmese and Lao dishes yet contrasts with the sweeter flavours of southern Thailand.   

  • Day 5: Chiang Mai | Street Food Tour and Traditional Khan Toke Dinner

    Get better acquainted with Chiang Mai’s celebrated street food scene. One of the best places to experience the local street food is at the many food stalls and old shophouses surrounding  Three Kings  Monument, a vibrant local haunt. Sample tasty regional delicacies including Khao Man Gai (chicken rice), Khao Soi (a Burmese-influenced noodle dish) and Phad Thai, the world-famous dish of stir-fried rice noodles. Later, enjoy a “Khan Toke” dinner and dance performance, an integral part of folk traditions in Thailand’s uppermost regions. Northern Thai cuisine is served in small “Khan” bowls and diners are seated on cushions at “Toke” low tables. While enjoying dinner, beautifully attired dancers perform traditional local dances, renowned for their elegant hand and finger movements.   

  • Day 6: Chiang Mai | Learn to Cook Authentic Thai Cuisine

    At Boonpratana House, discover the traditions of authentic Thai cuisine and recipes passed down the generations. Your private cooking class commences with a guided walk through the family’s lovely organic vegetable gardens. Here, hand-select various herbs and vegetables that will be utilised in the Thai dishes prepared today. Our host will share authentic culinary tips, besides some of the best Thai home-cooking recipes, which are easy to make once back home. Your host will prepare a variety of Thai dishes that reflect the cooking styles and flavours unique to each culinary region. As part of your class, you will have the opportunity to create and sample delicious dishes from the north, northeast and central regions of Thailand.

  • Day 7: Departure

    Free at leisure until the transfer to Chiang Mai International Airport for your onward flight.
