  • Day 5: Kuala Lumpur – Phuket | Experience the Tropical Island Life

Arrive in Phuket, located in Thailand’s southwest region and set amidst the sparkling Andaman Sea. Enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure. Phuket is the nation’s largest island and a hugely popular holiday destination, ringed by limestone karst islands and countless white sand beaches. This “Pearl of the South” presents the perfect playground of natural beauty, lively resort towns and fishing villages, providing an endless supply of sporting and leisure activities, as well as a rich cultural heritage.

  • Day 6: Phuket | An Inspiring Morning at an Elephant Sanctuary

Spend the morning at the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, a jungle resting home for retired, sick and rescued working elephants. At Phuket’s first and only ethical elephant sanctuary, observe how these elephants are rehabilitated into forest life after decades of abuse and toil. At the Tree Top Reception and Observation Platform, learn how the sanctuary helps to protect the planet’s largest land mammals. Afterwards, hand-feed the elephants, then accompany them into the jungle. Prioritising the elephants’ wellbeing, watch them from a safe distance on the Observation Salas, while they freely bathe together in freshwater ponds. This memorable visit is not only informative, but helps support the Sanctuary’s vital elephant welfare and ethical tourism efforts.

  • Day 7: Phuket | Experience Gibbon and Turtle Conservation Projects

Phuket was originally home to bountiful natural resources, but due to the island’s rapid development, they have been slowly depleted. This full-day tour provides insight into Phuket’s important conservation projects, with an opportunity to learn more about the environment and wildlife. After a short hike to Bang Pae Waterfall, continue to a nearby rehabilitation centre that is part of the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. Here, they rescue and rehabilitate abandoned and abused gibbons, then release them back into their natural habitat. Later, stop at Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation, an organisation that works to preserve the endangered Leatherback and other sea turtles. Our visit coincides with their feeding time. Mai Khao is a rare beach on Phuket that welcomes nesting sea turtles.

  • Day 8: Phuket | Get Whisked Away to Paradise Islands

Depart by private speedboat to one of Thailand’s most popular natural attractions, the Phi Phi Islands. This spectacular cluster of islands is embedded amongst karsts jutting out of Phang Nga Bay’s emerald-green waters. Continue to Viking Cave, located on the island’s northeastern tip and renowned for swifts’ nests that are used in the Chinese delicacy, Bird’s Nest Soup. Then head to secluded Pileh Cove and Hin Klang for a spot of snorkelling. After lunch at a seaside restaurant, cruise to Bamboo Island and its pristine white sand beach, where the crystal-clear water is perfect for a swim. Finally, snorkel off Yoong Island, noted for its antler corals and multi-coloured marine life.

  • Day 9: Phuket | Relax and Explore the “Pearl of the South” at Leisure

Enjoy a wonderfully relaxing day together in Phuket. Laze on the beautiful beaches, or spend time snorkelling or diving in the azure waters teeming with colourful coral reefs and tropical marine creatures. Charter a boat or catamaran for a memorable day cruising around the islands in the Andaman Sea. Or maybe explore the historic capital, Phuket Town and its cultural treasures. The choices and distractions are endless!
