On your second day, take a drive around Singapore’s Civic District, passing by heritage buildings that include Parliament House and City Hall. Stop at Merlion Park and enjoy the impressive Marina Bay views. Don’t miss a photo opportunity in front of the mythical Merlion statue, one of Singapore’s most iconic symbols. Proceed to 19th century Thian Hock Keng Temple, the city-state’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples. Then, at the National Orchid Garden, admire many varieties of Singapore’s national flower. Our final stop is Little India, a remarkably colourful and vibrant ethnic enclave.
Later, take the cable car from Mount Faber across to Sentosa Island. With its slew of fun-filled attractions and activities, Sentosa is known as Singapore’s “State of Fun”. Ascend Tiger Sky Tower, Singapore’s tallest observation tower, for spectacular 360-degree views across the island, Malaysia and Indonesia. Engage in an interactive 4D screening of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island at Sentosa 4D, then Images of Singapore LIVE show, before a final stop at Madame Tussaud’s.
Acclaimed Jurong Bird Park is Singapore’s first wildlife park and the biggest of its kind in Asia. Sprawled across verdant greenery, it offers a rare opportunity to interact with 400 species of birds in a natural park habitat. Hand-feed vividly coloured tropical birds at the Lory Loft, the world’s largest Lory Flight Aviary. Take a tram ride to The Waterfall Aviary, home to one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfalls, then enjoy the High-Flyer Show at the Pools Amphitheatre. In the evening, explore Chinatown, a fascinating quarter packed with old Chinese charm and heritage. Vibrant any time of day, Chinatown especially comes alive at nighttime. At an old-style Medicine Hall, learn together about the ancient traditions of Chinese medicine. After dinner, take a trishaw ride through Chinatown’s atmospheric narrow streets. Then hop onto a “bumboat” for a memorable cruise along Singapore River, admiring the illuminated city skyline.
Free at leisure until the transfer to Singapore Changi Airport for your onward flight.
