  • Day 1: Tokyo | Arrival in the City of Contrasts

    Arrive into Tokyo and settle into a city built on contrast between tradition and modernity, from ancient temples and historic neighbourhoods to sleek shopping districts and architecture that seems to have stepped out of tomorrow. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, easing into the rhythm of Japan’s capital.

  • Day 2: Tokyo | A Journey Through Historic Tokyo

    Begin at the outer gardens of the Imperial Palace, a place closely associated with the dignified image of the Imperial Family, before continuing to the old districts of Yanaka and Nezu, among the few corners of the city that still preserve the atmosphere of old Tokyo. Wander Yanaka Ginza, a nostalgic shopping street, and the narrow lanes, shrines and temples that surround it, taking in a peaceful, unhurried way of local life. Continue to Asakusa to explore Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest, founded in 628 and dedicated to Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. Before entering the temple grounds, stroll along Nakamise-dori, the famous shopping street where stalls sell classic Japanese sweets and souvenirs.

    Experience a completely different side of Tokyo today — youthful, creative and constantly in motion. Begin in Shibuya, the district that best symbolises the city’s modern lifestyle, before continuing through Harajuku and Omotesando to explore Tokyo’s world of fashion and contemporary living. In the afternoon, visit Shinjuku, one of the city’s largest commercial and entertainment centres. Close the day at teamLab Borderless in Azabudai Hills, the celebrated immersive digital art museum where light, imagery and technology blend into a strikingly imaginative space.

    Discover a more intimate, deeply rooted side of Tokyo through its culture and cuisine. Begin at Tsukiji Outer Market, a lively market known for its rich world of seafood and its strong connection to Japanese food culture, followed by a hands-on sushi-making class, a chance to experience one of Japan’s most iconic culinary traditions firsthand.
