  • Day 1: Yangon to Sittwe (Air)

    Transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Sittwe in the Rakhine State, a town located on the western coast of Myanmar, on the Bay of Bengal. This afternoon, start with a visit to the Sittwe cultural museum. Continue with a visit to Thet Kya Muni Pagoda, which is home to a large sitting Buddha statue and traditional architecture. Around sunset time, continue to the viewing point in town, and enjoy a cold drink while watching the sun set over the Bay of Bengal.
  • Day 2: Sittwe to Mrauk - U

    Rise early in the morning and pay a visit to the local market of Sittwe to observe how local trade is practiced. Transfer afterwards to the jetty for a chartered speedboat trip of five hours to Mrauk U. Known as one of Myanmar’s most powerful ancient Kingdoms, Mrauk U is a medieval place that is home to impressive ruins and traditional architecture and to a range of ancient pagodas. Depart in the afternoon for a sightseeing trip around town. Visit the Shittaung Pagoda, Andaw Thein Pagoda and other remarkable structures in the area. End the day with a visit to Ratanabon Paya.
  • Day 3: Mrauk - U full day tour

    Rise early to see the sunrise from the hill-top Shwetaung Paya and enjoy a coffee or tea while watching the ancient Mrauk-U come to life. After breakfast depart for a magnificent day exploring the extraordinary religious structures that surround Mrauk U. Begin with an excursion to Wethali and observe the layout of the ancient Royal Palace. Continue to the Mahamuni Pagoda, which houses several interesting artefacts. Continue in the afternoon with a visit to Ko Thaung Pagoda. Then return to the hotel for a final night in this enigmatic town.
  • Day 4: Visit to the Chin village

    Depart by boat for an exploration of two Chin ethnic minority villages. The women in these villages are famed for their tattooed faces. Spend some time in the village observing local traditions and try to engage in talks with the local community. Hike back to the boat landing and board for a relaxing ride back to Mrauk U.
  • Day 5: Mrauk - U to Sittwe to Yangon

    Return to Sittwe by boat. You may stop en route at the town of Ponnagyun, also referred to as Brahma Island. Here you can pay a visit to the ancient pagoda of Uritetawdat Zaydhi, then continue to Sittwe. Upon arrival in Sittwe, transfer to the airport for a flight back to Yangon. On arrival in Yangon, transfer to your desired hotel in Yangon with the remainder of the day free at leisure.
