Halong Violet Cruise - 3 Days/2 Nights

Launched on November 2009, our newest five star junk– the Halong Violet– fitted out in the 1930’s Indochine style. It featured a boutique dinning room, library & lounge, Spa & Gym and 6 individual theme cabins with marble bathroom, jacuzzi & balcony. The junk also cruise its own way away from the crowd to untouched areas of the bay.

  • DAY 1: HANOI TO HALONG BAY

    Depart for a 3.5 hour journey to Halong Bay stopping for a break at Hong Ngoc Center – the best place to stop and stretch your legs en route. On arrival in Halong Bay, board your deluxe junk, settle into your cabin and prepare your appetite for an enjoyable lunch on deck. In mid-afternoon visit the mysterious Tien Ong cave, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, and then continue to the Cua Van fishing village, the largest fishing community on the bay. Head back to the boat, participate in a cooking class with the chef or enjoy sunset on the top deck before dinner.

  • DAY 2: HALONG BAY

    Rise early and greet the day with a refreshing Tai Chi class on the upper deck. Later, depending on the weather condition, join one of the below options (or, relax on the boat and enjoy the view):

    Option 1: Sunny weather
    Transfer to a smaller boat and cruise deeper into Halong Bay to Cat Ba Island. Breakfast is served en route. On arrival, hop on a bicycle and enjoy a leisurely ride along the waterfront, then through some forested areas of the small island on the way to Viet Hai village. Have a look around the village if you like and chat with some of the local residences. Later, head back to the boat and cruise to Ho Ba Ham while enjoying lunch on board. In the afternoon, kayaks are available to explore the surrounding islets, caves and scenery further. By late afternoon, head back to the main boat and enjoy dinner and overnight.

    Option 2: Windy/Rainy weather
    Transfer to a smaller boat and cruise deeper into Halong Bay to Cat Ba Island. Breakfast is served en route. While the weather may not be suitable for cycling, the views are still amazing in this part of the bay. Kayaks are available for exploring the Hai Quan Lagoon area allowing an up close look at the bay and the many islets. Later, lunch is served on board while cruising to Sung Sot (surprise) cave. Take some time to explore the cave where stalactites hanging from the high ceiling take on many interesting shapes and forms. Kayaks are also available in the afternoon around Luon cave area. Later, cruise back toward the main boat via several bay highlights – Cua Van fishing village, Soi Sim & Dau Xuoi channel and Toad Islet. By late afternoon, board the main boat and enjoy dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 3: HALONG BAY TO HANOI

    Rise early and greet the day with another refreshing Tai Chi class on the upper deck. Transfer from the main boat to a small beach on Ti Top Island. Those wanting a bit of exercise can climb to the top of the island (20 minutes). Later, board the main boat and enjoy a delicious buffet brunch while cruising back to shore. Arrive at the jetty in late morning then transfer back to Hanoi. (Light snack provided en route. Option to stop at a small pottery workshop en route).
