Unearth the biodiversity of Tonle Sap Lake

The most prominent feature on the map of Cambodia, stretching across the northwest section of the country is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia, Tonle Sap Lake. Cruise in Trails of Indochina’s traditional luxury wooden vessel, Sarus, and embark on an adventure that teaches guests about the lake, its biodiversity and the Khmer rural culture. Offering sunset tours departing from Siem Reap, as well as green and dry season half day tours, Sarus is exclusive to Trails of Indochina’s trade partners and their clients. Reaching nearly 14 meters in length, the traditional wooden boat sits perfectly on the water amongst the natural surroundings, creating a wonderful sunset cruise setting. At sunset, passengers on board are invited to enjoy a glass of wine and canapés, watch the lake’s peaceful beauty unfold, and witness the locals on the return to their fish farms with the catch of the day.
