“We turned in our trip evaluation to Leo in Hanoi before we returned on Wednesday, but it occurs to us that we never mentioned our guide to Prek Toal in the evaluation even though we listed Prek Toal (Tonle Sap) as one of our favorite places and days. We have lost the papers with the name of the conservation organization and the young woman guide. Her name might have been something like "Kuhma" and she had a young daughter at home. Her English was excellent and she was very organized and prepared. She visited us at the Victoria Hotel in Siem Reap the night before our excursion to Prek Toal and explained the timing and what we would do during the next day, what to bring etc. She explained about the people, their life style and issues, the wild life refuge, took us across the lake (past floating villages), up the river after we transferred to a small boat and new driver, identified 26 different species of water and shore birds and many more individuals, gave us a list of the pieces identified, took us to the floating elementary school and was in every way an excellent guide. So we did want to mention this to you in case you would want to recommend her to others.

We would definitely agree that she was excellent and very conscientious. Thank you.

He was extremely well informed, his English was excellent, his attention to our special needs was amazing and his ability to make small adjustments to our itinerary to suit our particular likes, even when it took a lot of extra time and effort, was outstanding. He made sure to include extra walking which we love, even when it meant making phone calls and shifting times. “I would like to thank you and everyone at Trails Of Indochina for the great service and you presented Vietnam and Cambodia wonderfully. All the services ran very smoothly every step of the way. We all thoroughly enjoyed our guides in all the cities - Tom in Hanoi, Tom in Hue and Hoi An, Thanh in HCMC and Chen in Siem Reap. They are so knowledgeable at presenting the history and culture of the countries. We hated to leave every one of them! The drivers were very good and we felt safe as they maneuvered their way through the cities. The accommodations were the best including the locations and the staff at each hotel were wonderful. The Halong Bay cruise was a delight and we were pleasantly surprised at the high level of accommodation and food on the boat - we loved it. The people of Vietnam and Cambodia are so warm and genuine - it was hard to come back. It is hard to say what was the highlight of the trip. I personally think the entire trip was something I will never forget.”

From the moment that we met Phuc at the airport, he was the perfect guide. His English was perfect and his knowledge of the city was extremely helpful. He made sure that we were able to do all the things we wanted to do in the city and advised on where to eat, where to shop and how much to spend. Our trip to the Mekong Delta was one of the highlights of our lives. We truly enjoyed listening to Phuc explain the history of river and he even taught us a little Vietnamese. “What an unbelievably wonderful trip. Everything was superb - the itinerary, guides, accommodations and all the special programs and surprises you had planned for us. We were told we were very important people, and we felt like it. The experiences were amazing, from the exquisite boat we stayed on in Halong Bay and the lovely candlelight dinner in the ancient cave at the beginning of our trip to the expertise of Dr. Burnat who made Angkor come alive for us at the end.
